Store in a cool dry place away from sunlight.
1. Rinse before use. 2. Use 3 cups of liquid (water, stock, etc) to 1 cup of dry lentils 3. Bring to a boil, cover tightly, reduce heat and simmer until tender. For brown lentils cooking time is typically 20-30 minutes.
